rig update

so~! yes, it is coming 2 years late but i thought that i should at at least give an update on my PC. so, for simplicity sake am just gonna make a list of all the currents parts. and here it is:

CPU: Intel I7 920
Motherboard: Asus P6T Deluxe v2
Memory: Corsair 16000Mhz 6GB
Graphics: EVGA GTX480 + Asus 9600GT(Physx)
PSU: Antec True Power Quattro 1200W
Case: Coolermaster H.A.F X

that the current set up but Pandora (yes, i named her) has been through a couple changes since i first build it.
actually started off with just Asus 5870 running graphics. loved the card but had to switch it out for the hotter more power hungry gtx 480. the only reason i really switched cards was that i was into F@H at the time and nvidia cards are way ahead in that area.

thanks to the GTX 480 *sigh* i had to get a new power supply to cause the 750w i had from Thermaltake though it was good couldn't actually dish out 750 watts on just the 12 volt rail... can't remember how much it was now but i wish i paid attention before i got it cause my system with the two nvidia cards installed just couldn't boot! so i went overboard and got a 1200W, which is awesome!!! (^_^)

upgraded my cases too. from a HAF 932 to a HAF X. the only 2 things that i faulted the old case on were the fact that it had no air filters for intake and the interior wasn't painted black. which is really just me being picking but the black interior just looks way better.

i....ehem.... killed one DIMM of memory from my original set while overclocking. they didn't sell that series in a single channel pack and i would hate to mismatch my ram so i just bought a new set. and decided to go for 1600 MHz set this time over 1333 MHz.

and of course being an overclocker i overclock my cpu (though ran into some issues there will post that issue separate)
